ALMA Network
The ALMA Network connects and supports organisations implementing the ALMA initiative across Europe. By coordinating efforts and offering practical guidance, the Network helps its members launch and manage ALMA calls effectively at all levels. It fosters continuous improvement through shared learning, exchange of good practices, and collaboration on both specific and cross-cutting themes. At the same time, the Network works to raise awareness of ALMA, inspiring more Member States and regions to join the initiative and create new opportunities for young people across Europe. In this spirit the recent ALMA Network Position Paper (February 2026) expresses the collective support of its members, documents ALMA’s proven track record, and calls for the continuation and further development of the initiative beyond the current 2021–2027 programming period.
The ALMA Network brings together a vibrant community of practitioners from ESF+ Managing Authorities and Implementing Bodies at both national and regional levels. Members connect through online and in-person events to plan, implement, or prepare ALMA calls within their ESF+ programmes for 2021–2027. The Network also welcomes those exploring the ALMA initiative – offering guidance, resources, and connections for future participation. Supported by the European Competence Centre for Social Innovation and the European Commission, the ALMA Network is a collaborative, self-organised platform built by and for its members – fostering peer exchange, mutual learning, and continuous improvement.
